How to install gutters properly.
To install gutters have the gutters slope downward toward the downspout so they work properly.
Secure the downspout outlet to the gutter with four pop rivets or screws.
If the fascia board you re installing them on is longer than 35 feet have the gutters slope from the center to each end.
Slip h idden fasteners into the gutter run and screw the gutter into the fascia with a drill and screws.
Snap a chalk line across the fascia creating the proper pitch toward the downspout end.
Where the gutter wraps around an outside corner first attach splice fittings to the corner piece with rivets connect one splice to the preceding length of gutter apron.
Measure the fascia to determine the length of the gutter.
Locate the endpoints and hold a nail over each.
Snap a chalk line from these two marks to determine the line your gutters will follow.
Take the downspout end of the string lower it 3 4 of an inch and reattach it.
Repeat this process for all gutters around your roofline.
Mark both ends of the string with a pencil then remove it.
5 snap a chalk line between the start and end of the gutter run.
Apply gutter sealant to an end cap then press the cap onto one end of the gutter.
For every 10 feet of gutter from this measurement and mark this distance at the low end of the gutter run.
Secure the end cap to the gutter with a crimping tool.
Hidden fasteners are placed every 24 inches along the gutter run.

Hold another elbow against the house and cut a piece of downspout to fit between the two elbows.
