Install the panel so that the short lip overlaps the large lip. Metal roofing is also available in the form of shingles. Make sure the panel is square to the eave of the roof so that all of panels installed afterwards are straight. Continue adding panels until the roof is covered.

Continue installing the metal panels making sure that the edges overlap at least 1 in 2 5 cm or as required with the adjacent panel. You may need to cut panels to fit angles using a circular saw with a metal saw blade. Screw each stanchion through the roof and into a roof rafter. The silicone will spread and adhere creating a seal.

Do this until the entire roof is covered. Along the fastening strip of the sl16 always use the pancake head fastener. Screw the new panel in place as described. Take your first panel and set it on the roof in the area that you will be placing them.

You will want to make sure that the curve on the panels is flush over the moldings you have just secured into place with your galvanized screws. On the roof lay out the locations of the stanchions that will support the solar panels.
