Pull the old flashing up over the vent pipe and scrape any old caulk and debris off the roof.

Turn your vent upside down and apply a thick bead of caulk to the flange.
Slide the new flashing over the vent pipe and under the shingles above the pipe.
Look for the chimney or any type of pipe coming out of the building.
Bend the corner flashing tightly around the corner.
Add a large bead of caulk in a half moon shape around the flashing and put the shingles back in place.

If you do not wish to form your own corner flashing you can buy pre bent pieces and cut them to size or use a piece of corrugated aluminum which is easier to bend.
Use one roofing nail in each corner of the flashing to secure it to the roof.
