Tack the end into position with the roofing nails and press the nail within the drip edge and into the roof covering.

In today s video we go over the basic techniques to installing drip edge and rake edge on your roof.
When combined with the drip edge spacing the shingles will clear the fascia by 3 4 1 1 4 total.
Select enough lengths of flashing to cover it.
But do not push it through the fascia.
Use roofing nails to secure the drip edge.
Once free slide the drip edge out and discard.
In some locations it is acceptable for the roof shingles to line up with the drip edge.
You may need to nail through the starter strip into the drip edge.
Apply a continuous bead of cement along the top of the drip edge then press down on the shingle.
Always set the nails back close to the edge of the roof leg.
