How To Nail Roof Jacks

How to nail roof jacks.

Step 1 check out the roof. Drive a nail in each slot and pound it down in such a way that it is level with the metal of the jack. Nail the cut off shingle into place about 6 inches from its lower edge. Next drive a nail at the bottom part of the jack in order to secure it on both ends.

Make sure that you don t push it all the way inside your roof since you might damage it. Make sure to keep nails out of the tar strip as you work. Use a ladder against a side of the building to climb to the roof edge.
