One was plenty for mine and i would do no more than two revolutions before trying it.
How to tighten awning fabric.
At each end of the awning in the connection awning track is a small screw called the slider set screw.
Push the aluminum pole in its extended length up to the rv wall and down to the lip of the awning under the awning itself.
Determine which direction the awning arm rail needs to move so that it is properly aligned.
Check to see which is the case with yours.
Using an awning stake.
Place the step stool near the lip of the awning.
Position so the pole pushes the awning out adding tension to the fabric.
This screw prevents the awning from sliding from one side to another.
While standing in front of the awning pull the awning tube downward and toward yourself.
Be careful when you loosen those top bolts maybe have a buddy there in the middle of the awning tube to try to hold it while you make adjustments.
Your awning can be secured by using an awning stake and tie down straps.
Special aluminum poles often accompany the rv awning for this use.
Just snap the support arm back into it s bracket and slide the tension arm into it s slot and roll it up.
The fabric should now be taught.
My awning fabric was perfect in line when rolled up so i figured it was the arms and not the fabric that needed adjusted.
Repeat this step with the other tensioning arm.
