Isolate the piece of siding you need to remove and find its outermost edge on either side.
Remove the loosened section of siding by sliding it down.

Use a zip tool to disconnect two pieces of siding.
Do not press down on the siding while removing nails.
It can rust or be damaged in dangerous weather conditions.
You can bend or crease the siding.
Remove the nails that are visible for the siding section using a nail pry bar and pliers.
Reveal the nails anchoring a piece to the wall by sticking the zip tool under the bottom of the piece above it.
Slide the separating tool underneath the bottom edge of the siding piece that is directly above the piece.
Since aluminum siding is installed in an interlocking pattern pieces can be separated easily using a siding removal tool.
